Technical description: ELECTRICAL SUPPLY FAULT (CHECK SUPPLY TO APPLIANCE FOR 240V BETWEEN ‘L’ & ‘N’) or BLOWN FUSE (CHECK AND REPLACE)
What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the electrical circuit to your boiler is broken, meaning the internal components have no power to operate. The most common reason is a simple blown fuse in the wall socket or inside the boiler itself, often following a power surge or a component failure that has caused a short circuit.
DIY fix possible
Check if other appliances in your home are working to rule out a general power cut.Ensure the boiler's main isolation switch (usually a fused spur near the boiler) is turned on.Check your home's consumer unit (fuse box) to see if a circuit breaker has tripped.Replace the fuse in the boiler's external spur switch with a new 3-amp fuse.
