Your boiler has gone into a safety lockout mode and needs to be manually restarted to try and fire up again.
Book a Gas Safe engineer within 24–48 hours. Your boiler may be unsafe or could break down completely if left.
Technical description: Lockout fault (Reset, see page 5)
What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the boiler fails to detect a flame after several attempts to light. The most common reasons are a lack of gas reaching the appliance, a worn ignition spark electrode, or a blockage in the burner preventing the gas from catching.
This fault can appear more frequently during extreme cold snaps if the external gas regulator or condensate pipe freezes, preventing the boiler from completing its ignition cycle.
DIY fix possible
Locate the mode selector switch on the front control panel.Turn the switch to the 'OFF/RESET' position and wait for 5-10 seconds.Turn the switch back to either the 'Hot Water Only' or 'Heating and Hot Water' position.
