What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the boiler's control system cannot detect a flame after several attempts to ignite the gas. The most common reasons are a lack of gas supply to the unit, a worn ignition component that can no longer create a spark, or a faulty internal valve that is failing to open.
This issue is more frequent during the first cold snap of winter when components that have been idle over summer are suddenly put under heavy strain.
