Your boiler has stopped working because it cannot correctly measure the temperature of the water leaving the unit, usually due to a faulty internal sensor or wiring issue.
Book a Gas Safe engineer within 24–48 hours. Your boiler may be unsafe or could break down completely if left.
Technical description: Flow temperature sensor short circuit or incorrectly connected
What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the boiler's internal computer receives an impossible electrical signal from the sensor that monitors the heat of the water leaving the unit. The most common reason is that the sensor has suffered an internal failure or the wires connecting it have become loose or damaged, preventing the boiler from safely regulating its temperature.
Engineer required
This fault requires a Gas Safe registered engineer. Do not attempt gas-related repairs yourself.
