Your boiler is currently performing a self-test and starting up its internal system, which typically happens after the power has been turned off and back on.
This is a minor fault. Keep an eye on it and mention it at your next annual boiler service. Reset the boiler and see if it clears.
Technical description: Please wait, initialisation in progress.
What causes this fault?
This sequence occurs when the boiler's internal computer is running a series of diagnostic tests to ensure all components are safe before ignition. It is physically triggered by a disruption in power, such as a localized power cut, the boiler being switched off at the wall, or a recent service. Under normal conditions, this is a standard safety procedure and the boiler should begin firing normally within a few minutes.
This is slightly more common during winter months when power surges or grid instabilities are more frequent during heavy storms.
