What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the boiler's main control board experiences a breakdown in communication with other internal electronic components. It is typically caused by a physical failure within the Printed Circuit Board's circuitry or a loose connection in the wiring harness that links the sensors to the main computer. Essentially, the boiler has lost its ability to send and receive the vital data signals needed to operate safely.
DIY fix possible
Press the Reset button on the front of the boiler display.If the code persists, turn the main power supply to the boiler off at the fused spur switch, wait 30 seconds, and turn it back on.If the code returns immediately, you will need to book a Gas Safe registered engineer.
