Your boiler has lost connection with its outdoor temperature sensor, which helps it adjust the heating based on the weather outside.
This is a minor fault. Keep an eye on it and mention it at your next annual boiler service. Reset the boiler and see if it clears.
Technical description: Outdoor sensor (44)
What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the boiler can no longer communicate with the sensor mounted on the outside of your property. The most common reasons are physical damage to the external sensor casing or the electrical wiring becoming corroded or broken due to exposure to the elements.
This fault is frequently discovered at the start of autumn when the heating is first turned back on and the boiler attempts to calculate flow temperatures based on the cooling outdoor air.
