What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the boiler and your home's temperature controller stop talking to each other due to a break in the electrical signal. The most common reasons are a loose connection in the internal wiring, a failed wireless receiver, or the wall-mounted thermostat losing its pairing with the boiler.
DIY fix possible
Check if your room thermostat or programmer has run out of batteries and replace them if necessary.Ensure the thermostat is within range of the boiler and that the wireless receiver is plugged in correctly.Try resetting the boiler by pressing the reset button for five seconds to restart the communication link.
