Your boiler is currently going through a standard startup routine or resetting itself after a power interruption.
This is a minor fault. Keep an eye on it and mention it at your next annual boiler service. Reset the boiler and see if it clears.
Technical description: Please wait, initialisation in progress.
What causes this fault?
This sequence indicates that the boiler's internal computer is performing a self-test and synchronising its components after being switched on or reset. It occurs because the system needs to verify the position of internal valves and sensors before it can safely ignite the burner. Once the initialisation sequence is complete, the boiler will resume normal operation automatically.
This code is frequently seen during winter after a power cut, as boilers are often reset or power-cycled in an attempt to restore heating quickly.
DIY fix possible
Wait for 5 minutes to see if the codes disappear and the temperature display returns.Check that your gas supply is turned on if the sequence repeats indefinitely.Ensure no buttons are stuck on the control panel.
