Your boiler appears to have no power and cannot start the ignition process, meaning you will not have any heating or hot water.
Book a Gas Safe engineer within 24–48 hours. Your boiler may be unsafe or could break down completely if left.
Technical description: Appliance does not ignite. Damaged fuse or no electricity supply.
What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the electrical circuit within the boiler is broken, preventing the internal components from receiving the power they need to start. The most common reason is a blown fuse caused by a sudden power surge or a failing internal part that has tripped the system's safety electrics. In some cases, it may simply be that the external power switch has been accidentally turned off or the main control board has developed a critical fault.
This issue often occurs during the first cold snap of autumn when older components are suddenly put under strain after being idle all summer.
