Your boiler is currently performing its startup sequence and check-up, which usually happens after the power has been turned off or the system has been reset.
This is a minor fault. Keep an eye on it and mention it at your next annual boiler service. Reset the boiler and see if it clears.
Technical description: Please wait, initialisation in progress.
What causes this fault?
This sequence occurs because the boiler's internal computer is running a series of self-diagnostic tests to ensure all components are safe and ready to operate. It is physically triggered when the power supply is restored after a cut or when the reset button has been pressed. During this time, the boiler isn't failing, it is simply calibrating its sensors before igniting the burner.
This display is slightly more common in winter when homeowners are more likely to reset their boilers or experience power fluctuations during stormy weather.
DIY fix possible
Wait for up to 5 minutes for the sequence to complete naturallyEnsure the power supply to the boiler is stableIf the code persists for more than 15 minutes, try resetting the boiler once
