Your boiler has detected that one of the buttons on the control panel is stuck or faulty, preventing you from changing settings.
This is a minor fault. Keep an eye on it and mention it at your next annual boiler service. Reset the boiler and see if it clears.
Technical description: Control panel button fault
What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the boiler's control board detects that a button on the front interface is being pressed continuously for more than 30 seconds. The most common reason is a button physically sticking in the door housing or an internal electronic failure within the interface panel. In some cases, moisture or dust ingress behind the panel can cause the contacts to short-circuit, leading the boiler to think a button is held down.
DIY fix possible
Carefully press and release all buttons on the control panel to see if any are stuck in the 'pushed' positionGently wipe the control panel with a dry cloth to ensure no debris is jamming the buttonsSwitch the boiler off at the fused spur (the power switch), wait 30 seconds, and turn it back on
