Ariston 2 - CIRCULATION FAILURE Fault Code
Also written as 2CIRCULATIONFAILURE — same fault.
The Ariston 2 - CIRCULATION FAILURE fault code means: your boiler has detected that water is not flowing through the system correctly, so it has shut down to protect itself from overheating.. It appears on 3 Ariston models in our database.
Technical description: This control signals that the safety pressure switch on the primary circuit has not sensed a pressure of at least 1 bar within 40 seconds of the activation of the circulation pump; the circulation pump comes to a halt and the red L.E.D.“J”illuminates.
DIY fix possible
Check your pressure gauge located on the front of the boiler; if it is below 1 bar, you need to repressurise the system.Locate the filling loop (usually a silver braided hose under the boiler) and open the valves to let water in until the pressure reaches 1.5 bar.Close valves tightly and press the reset button on your boiler control panel.
