High Lockout
E.04 – .13 on Baxi 200 Combi (range)

Your boiler's fan, which safely pushes exhaust fumes away, has stopped spinning or cannot communicate with the system.

Call an engineer soon

Book a Gas Safe engineer within 24 to 48 hours. Your boiler may be unsafe or could break down completely if left.

Technical description

Permanent fault. Fan rotor blocked, fan seized or wiring to fan damaged.

What causes this fault?

This fault occurs when the boiler's control board detects that the fan is not spinning at the required speed to safely clear exhaust gases. The most common reasons are a physical blockage inside the fan casing, debris seizing the internal bearings, or a loose electrical connection between the fan and the main computer.

Engineer required

This is a high severity fault. Stop using the boiler and call a Gas Safe registered engineer. Do not attempt gas-related repairs yourself.
