Ignition Lockout

Your boiler has tried to light itself five times without success and has shut down for safety because a flame wasn't detected.

What to check first

  1. Check that your gas supply is turned on at the meter
  2. If you have a prepay meter, check that you have sufficient credit
  3. Press the Reset button/dial on the front of the boiler

Your boiler is struggling to move water through the system, causing it to keep restarting the pump without actually firing up the heating.

What to check first

  1. Check that the central heating valves under the boiler are fully open
  2. Ensure all radiator valves (TRVs) are turned to their highest setting
  3. Gently bleed your radiators to remove any trapped air that might be blocking flow
