Your boiler has failed to heat the water in your cylinder to a high enough temperature to kill off any potentially harmful bacteria.

DIY fix possible

Check that your hot water cylinder thermostat is set to at least 60°C.Ensure your heating programmer is set to allow the hot water to stay on for a long enough period (at least one hour).Reset the boiler by pressing the reset button to see if the cycle completes successfully.
