The 6 most common faults
Your boiler has failed to light the gas flame or cannot detect that it is lit, causing the system to shut down for safety.
Check that your gas supply is turned on and other gas appliances are workingPress and hold the reset button for a few secondsIf you have a prepaid meter, ensure you have sufficient credit
Your boiler has overheated, causing a safety cutout to stop the system from running.
Check that all radiator valves are fully openEnsure the boiler pressure is between 1 and 1.5 barPress and hold the 'Reset' button for 2-3 seconds to restart the system
Your boiler has detected that the water pressure is too low, causing it to shut down for safety.
Locate the filling loop (usually a silver flexible hose) underneath the boiler.Slowly open the valve(s) to allow water into the system while watching the pressure gauge.Close the valves once the needle reaches between 1.0 and 1.5 bar, then press the reset button.
Your boiler has likely stopped heating because the internal water pressure has dropped too low or there is a blockage preventing water from circulating properly.
Locate the pressure gauge on the front of the boilerIf the needle is below 1 bar, use the filling loop underneath the boiler to increase pressure to 1.5 barTurn the selector switch to 'Reset' for 5 seconds and then back to 'On/Winter' mode
Your boiler has failed to ignite properly, meaning there is no flame to provide heating or hot water.
Check if your gas credit has run out or if other gas appliances are workingTurn the selector knob to the 'R' position for a few seconds to reset the boilerRepeat the reset procedure up to three times if the fault persists
Your boiler has detected that the water temperature has risen too high and has shut down as a safety precaution.
Check that your radiator valves are open and not turned to zero.Wait for the boiler to cool down for at least 30 minutes.Press the reset button on the front control panel to clear the fault.
