Technical description
F07
What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the boiler's internal components become too hot because heat isn't being transferred away from the burner efficiently. The most common reason is a buildup of limescale or sludge inside the main heat exchanger, which acts like a barrier and causes the metal to overheat. It can also be triggered if the sensor responsible for monitoring these temperatures has failed and is sending incorrect readings to the control board.
Engineer required
This is a high severity fault. Stop using the boiler and call a Gas Safe registered engineer. Do not attempt gas-related repairs yourself.
