Your boiler has stopped working because the fan that removes waste gases is not spinning correctly or has lost power.
Book a Gas Safe engineer within 24–48 hours. Your boiler may be unsafe or could break down completely if left.
Technical description: Fan fault
What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the boiler's safety system detects that the fan is not spinning fast enough to safely extract exhaust gases. The most common reason is that the fan motor has worn out and seized, though it can also be caused by a communication failure between the main control board and the fan.
Engineer required
This fault requires a Gas Safe registered engineer. Do not attempt gas-related repairs yourself.
