What causes this fault?

This is not actually a fault, but a status indicator confirming that the gas burner has successfully ignited. It appears when the boiler's internal sensors detect a flame and confirm that the unit is actively heating water for your radiators or taps. As long as this light is on, the boiler is performing its primary function exactly as intended.

DIY fix possible

No action is required as this is a status indicator, not an error.Ensure your thermostat is set to the desired temperature.Check that your programmer is set to an 'on' period.
