Low Information
Burner On Neon on Glow-worm Micron 60FF

Your boiler is operating normally and is currently heating the water for your radiators or hot water tank.

Monitor it

This is a minor fault. Keep an eye on it and mention it at your next annual boiler service. Reset the boiler and see if it clears.

Technical description

Neon on the control panel lighting up shows the burner is alight.

What causes this fault?

This is not a fault, but rather a status indicator showing that the boiler has successfully ignited its main burner. It occurs when the internal thermostat or your external programmer sends a signal for heat, triggering the gas valve to open and the spark to light the fuel. As long as this light is on, your boiler is actively burning gas to heat your home or water cylinder.

This light will be visible more frequently during the winter months when your heating is scheduled to run for longer periods to maintain a comfortable temperature.

DIY fix possible

No action is required as this is a status indicator, not a fault code.Check that your thermostat is set to the desired temperature.Ensure your programmer is set to 'On' if you require heating.
