Technical description: Anti fast-cycle program in operation

What causes the Ideal 0A fault?

This occurs when your boiler has reached its target temperature and needs to wait a few minutes before firing up again to prevent damage. It usually happens if your radiators are already hot enough or if the boiler is producing more heat than your system currently needs to circulate. This brief pause is a built-in safety feature designed to save energy and protect the burner from wearing out too quickly.

This status is more frequent during autumn and spring when the weather is mild and your home doesn't require the boiler to run at full capacity constantly.

DIY fix possible

Wait for 5 to 10 minutes for the countdown to end and the boiler to restart automatically.Check that your room thermostat is turned up higher than the current room temperature.Ensure all radiator valves are open to allow heat to dissipate correctly.
