What causes the Ideal 82 fault?

This fault occurs when the boiler's control system attempts to start the fan but detects that it isn't spinning or reaching the required speed. The most common reasons are a mechanical failure of the fan motor itself or a communication issue where the main circuit board fails to send power to the fan.
