What causes the Ideal RED lockout led fault?
This fault occurs when the boiler tries to light the burner but fails to detect a flame within its 10-second safety window. The most common reasons are a lack of gas reaching the unit, a worn-out ignition spark, or a component failure that prevents the internal parts from communicating correctly.
This fault is more common during the first cold snap of winter, when increased demand can highlight failing components or when external gas regulators are prone to sticking.
