What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the boiler tries to start up but cannot successfully light a flame or detect that a flame is present. The most common reasons are a lack of gas reaching the unit, a worn-out spark probe that can no longer ignite the fuel, or a blockage in the internal parts that prevents the burner from firing correctly.
This issue is more frequent during extreme cold spells, as external gas meters or pipes can sometimes freeze, restricting the steady flow of gas required for ignition.
