Low Information
Neon SG1 on Ideal Mexico CF3 40 & 50

Your boiler is currently trying to light the flame, and the light should turn off as soon as the heater starts working normally.

Monitor it

This is a minor fault. Keep an eye on it and mention it at your next annual boiler service. Reset the boiler and see if it clears.

Technical description

Flashes to indicate ignition operation (stops after detection.)

What causes this fault?

This status occurs when the boiler sends an electrical spark to the burner to start the heating process. It is a normal part of operation, but if the light continues to flash without the boiler firing up, it usually means the gas isn't catching or the system can't 'see' the flame. This is often caused by a worn-out ignition component or a probe that has become dirty over time.

DIY fix possible

Check that your gas supply is turned onObserve if the light stops flashing once the boiler fires upIf the light continues to flash but the boiler does not light, try resetting the power
