Technical description
internal failure - electronic
What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the boiler's main control board suffers an internal hardware failure or a communication breakdown between its electronic components. It is often caused by a sudden electrical surge, moisture getting onto the circuitry, or simply the natural degradation of the solder joints over time. Because the 'brain' of the boiler can no longer safely monitor the system, it shuts down entirely as a protective measure.
Engineer required
This is a high severity fault. Stop using the boiler and call a Gas Safe registered engineer. Do not attempt gas-related repairs yourself.
