Technical description
internal failure - electronic
What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the boiler's main control board experiences a critical electronic failure that prevents it from processing data correctly. It is usually caused by a breakdown of the microscopic components on the circuit board or a terminal communication error between the internal sensors and the main processor.
This issue can sometimes be triggered during the transition into winter, as the sudden increase in electrical demand and heat within the casing can cause aging electronic components to fail.
Engineer required
This is a high severity fault. Stop using the boiler and call a Gas Safe registered engineer. Do not attempt gas-related repairs yourself.
