What causes this fault?

This fault occurs when the communication link between the boiler's brain and its display screen is broken, or when the components have lost electrical power entirely. The most common reason is a technical failure within the display circuit board or a blown internal fuse caused by a sudden power surge. Without this connection, the boiler cannot receive commands or show you what it is doing.

This is a high severity fault. Stop using the boiler and call a Gas Safe registered engineer. Do not attempt gas-related repairs yourself.
