The 4 most common faults
Your boiler has switched itself off because it has become too hot internally, usually because there isn't enough water moving through the system to cool it down.
Check the pressure gauge and top up the system to 1.5 bar if it is lowBleed all radiators to remove trapped airEnsure all radiator valves and the boiler isolation valves are fully openPress the 'Restart' button on the boiler display
Your boiler has detected that there is not enough water in the system to operate safely and has shut down to prevent damage.
Locate the filling loop (usually a silver flexible hose) underneath or near the boiler.Slowly open the one or two taps on the filling loop until you hear water flowing.Watch the pressure gauge on the boiler display until it reaches between 1.0 and 1.5 bar, then close the taps tightly.
Your boiler has failed to ignite several times and has shut down as a safety precaution to prevent unburnt gas from building up.
Check that your gas meter has credit and the isolation valve is openCheck if other gas appliances in your home, like a hob, are working correctlyPress the 'Reset' button on the boiler control panel once
Your boiler has been manually reset too many times in a short window and has temporarily locked itself to prevent damage while it waits for a proper restart.
Locate the main power switch (fused spur) for the boiler, usually found on the wall nearby.Switch the power off completely and wait for at least 30 seconds.Switch the power back on to clear the temporary lock and allow the boiler to restart.
