What causes the Potterton Power Failure fault?

This fault occurs when the boiler's internal computer detects a break in the constant electrical supply required to operate safely. The most common reasons are a simple tripped circuit breaker in your fuse box, a blown 3-amp fuse in the boiler's wall switch, or a failing component on the circuit board that is interrupting the power flow.

This fault is slightly more frequent during the winter months when power surges occur due to heavy load on the national grid or localized storm damage to power lines.
