Your boiler has detected an issue with the sensor for your solar hot water system, which usually means the sensor is faulty or the connection is loose.
This is a minor fault. Keep an eye on it and mention it at your next annual boiler service. Reset the boiler and see if it clears.
Technical description: Hot water solar sensor fault (if connected)
What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the boiler's control board loses communication with the sensor monitoring your solar hot water system. The most common reason is that the sensor itself has developed an internal electrical failure or the wiring connecting it to the boiler has become loose or damaged. Since this sensor is often exposed to high temperatures and outdoor elements, it can wear out over time.
This fault is more common during the height of summer when solar thermal systems are under the most thermal stress from intense sunlight.
