What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the boiler detects that there is either not enough water in the system or that the water is not moving through the pipes as it should. The most common reasons are a drop in system pressure due to a leak, or the internal pump failing to push heated water out to your radiators.
This issue is frequently seen in autumn when the heating is turned back on for the first time, as pump components can seize during months of inactivity.
DIY fix possible
Check the pressure gauge on the front of the boiler; it should be between 1 and 1.5 bar.If the pressure is low, use the filling loop underneath the boiler to carefully top it up.Reset the boiler by turning the control knob to the 'R' position for 5 seconds and then back to 'On'.
