What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the boiler's internal computer tries to light the gas but the sparks aren't strong enough or are in the wrong place to create a flame. The most common reasons are worn-out spark probes that have moved out of position or a faulty ignition lead that is leaking electricity before it reaches the burner.

Check that your gas supply is turned on at the meterTurn the selector switch to the 'Reset' position for five seconds, then turn it back to the required settingVerify that other gas appliances in your home (like a hob) are working correctly
