What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the boiler attempts to light the burner but fails to detect a stable flame after several attempts. The most common reason is a failure in the ignition system, such as a worn-out spark electrode or a faulty circuit board that isn't sending the signal to ignite the gas.
DIY fix possible
Locate the selector switch on the front of the boiler control panel.Turn the switch to the 'R' (Reset) position and hold it for at least 5 seconds.Return the switch to your desired setting (Heating or Hot Water) and wait to see if the burner ignites.
