Your boiler has stopped working because the fan that clears away waste gases is not spinning correctly or communicating with the control system.
Book a Gas Safe engineer within 24–48 hours. Your boiler may be unsafe or could break down completely if left.
Technical description: Fan or Fan Wiring Fault
What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the boiler's internal computer detects that the fan is not spinning at the correct speed to safely expel exhaust gases. The most common reasons are a mechanical failure of the fan motor, loose electrical connections, or a fault on the main control board that prevents it from sending power to the fan.
Engineer required
This fault requires a Gas Safe registered engineer. Do not attempt gas-related repairs yourself.
