Your boiler has reached the required temperature and is taking a short, planned break to prevent overheating before it starts heating your home again.
This is a minor fault. Keep an eye on it and mention it at your next annual boiler service. Reset the boiler and see if it clears.
Technical description: A control stop from 3 till 10 minutes and appears if the set flow temperature (t1) has already been reached and the heating demand still exists.
What causes this fault?
This occurs when the water inside the boiler reaches the target temperature before the rest of your home is warm enough. To prevent damage from overheating, the boiler temporarily shuts down the burner while keeping the pump running to circulate the water. It is essentially the boiler taking a 'breather' because it is generating heat faster than your radiators can currently dissipate it.
This code is more frequent during autumn and spring when the weather is milder and your radiators don't need to work at full capacity.
DIY fix possible
Check that your radiators are turned up and the valves are open.Ensure your room thermostat is set to a temperature higher than the current room temperature.Wait up to 10 minutes for the boiler to automatically restart its firing sequence.
