Your boiler is continuing to run its internal pump after you have finished using hot water, which is often caused by a stuck internal valve or a sensor error.
This fault should be looked at by a Gas Safe engineer within the next week or two. It may get worse if left.
Technical description: Boiler pump is running after heating DHW
What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the boiler's internal computer thinks the hot water is still being heated even after you have turned the tap off. The most common reason is a mechanical failure in the diverter valve, which gets stuck and falsely signals that water is still flowing through the system. This causes the pump to keep running as a safety measure to dissipate heat that isn't actually needed.
Engineer required
This fault requires a Gas Safe registered engineer. Do not attempt gas-related repairs yourself.
