Technical description: Flame detected when no flame should be present

What causes the Remeha E06 fault?

This fault occurs when the boiler's internal sensors detect a flame signal at a point in the starting sequence where the gas should still be turned off. The most common reason is a faulty sensing electrode sending a false signal or a gas valve that is leaking slightly and allowing fuel through when it shouldn't. In some cases, a fault on the main circuit board can lead the boiler to misinterpret electrical signals as a live flame.

Typical repair cost £120-300 (including labour)
