What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the boiler's main electronic brain suffers a hardware failure or a breakdown in its internal memory. The most common reason is simply age-related wear to the electrical components on the circuit board, which eventually prevents it from processing safety information correctly.
Engineer required
This is a high severity fault. Stop using the boiler and call a Gas Safe registered engineer. Do not attempt gas-related repairs yourself.
