Why it happens: This fault occurs when the data link between the boiler's control screen and its main internal computer is broken or interrupted. The most common reason is a loose wiring connection or a component failure caused by a power surge or natural wear and tear. Without this communication link, the boiler cannot process your heating requests and shuts down for safety.

Check your boiler's pressure gauge on the front display; if it is below 1.0 bar, the system needs more water.Locate the filling loop (usually a silver braided hose with one or two valves) underneath the boiler.Open the valves slowly to top up the system pressure until the needle reaches the green zone (between 1.0 and 1.5 bar), then close the valves tightly.
