Technical description: Too many failed ignitions

What causes the Vokera A02 fault?

This fault occurs when the boiler's control system attempts to light the burner several times but fails to detect a stable flame. The most common reasons are a lack of gas reaching the unit, worn-out spark electrodes that can no longer create a light, or a dirty sensor that cannot 'see' the flame even if it has ignited.

This fault is more common during the first cold snap of winter, as debris in the gas line or moisture on the electrodes can prevent ignition after the boiler has been inactive over summer.

Typical repair cost £100-£350 (including labour)
