Technical description
Domestic hot water probe fault
What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the internal sensor responsible for monitoring your hot water temperature has failed or is sending incorrect data to the control board. The most common reason is that the sensor has suffered electrical wear or has become corroded, preventing it from telling the boiler to fire up when you turn on a tap. In some cases, the issue is simply a loose or damaged wire connecting the sensor to the main computer.
Engineer required
This is a high severity fault. Stop using the boiler and call a Gas Safe registered engineer. Do not attempt gas-related repairs yourself.
