E010

Your boiler has stopped working because it cannot safely detect a flame or the pipe that drains wastewater is blocked or frozen.

High DIY-safe £90-200

What to check first

  1. Check if your external condensate pipe (the white plastic pipe outside) is frozen during cold weather and pour warm water over it to thaw.
  2. Check if your gas supply is working properly by testing another gas appliance like a hob.
  3. Try resetting the boiler using the reset button on the control panel.

Parts commonly replaced

  • Condensate trap
  • Ignition electrode
  • Gas valve

Related codes

  • System filter
  • Heat exchanger

Related codes

E040

Your boiler has detected that the internal mechanism responsible for safely clearing exhaust gases is not working, so it has shut down to prevent unsafe operation.

High Engineer only £150-£300

Parts commonly replaced

  • Fan assembly
  • Wiring harness
  • Printed Circuit Board (PCB)

Related codes

E041

Your boiler has detected that the internal water pressure is either too low or the sensor measuring it is faulty, which safely stops the system from running.

High DIY-safe £90-£180

What to check first

  1. Check the pressure gauge on the front of your Vokera boiler to see if it has dropped below 1 bar.
  2. If the pressure is low, locate the filling loop valves underneath the boiler.
  3. Open the valves slightly to let water in until the pressure reaches between 1.0 and 1.5 bar, then firmly close them again.
  4. Reset the boiler using the reset button if it does not restart automatically.

Parts commonly replaced

  • Water pressure transducer
  • Pressure sensor wiring harness

Related codes
