Technical description: Refilling system pressure

What causes the Worcester Bosch 2968 fault?

This code appears when the water pressure inside your heating system drops below the minimum level required for the boiler to operate safely. It is usually caused by tiny amounts of air escaping through radiators or after you have recently bled your radiators, though a small leak in the pipework could also be the culprit. The boiler has recognized this drop and is currently using its built-in internal pump to restore the pressure to the correct level.

This notification is more frequent during autumn when homeowners turn their heating back on for the first time and air bubbles move through the system.

Typical repair cost £0-120 (including labour)

DIY fix possible

Wait a few minutes to see if the 'Intelligent Filling System' completes the top-up automatically. If it does not stop, check the display for a prompt to manual override the filling valve.Check visible pipework and radiators for any signs of water leaks.
