Technical description: No control signal or power supply to the fan during operation

What causes the Worcester Bosch C1264 fault?

This fault occurs when the boiler's computer sends a command for the air fan to spin, but the fan fails to respond or loses power. The most common reason is that the fan motor has burnt out or the electronic control board has suffered a component failure, preventing it from sending electricity to the fan. This creates a safety risk, as the boiler cannot guarantee that dangerous exhaust fumes are being pushed out of the flue.

This fault is slightly more common in winter when the boiler is working harder, as the fan motor is under constant mechanical stress and is more likely to fail during periods of heavy use.

Typical repair cost £250-£650 (including labour)
