Technical description
The burner control unit is faulty
What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the boiler's main control board experiences a critical hardware failure or a loss of internal communication. It is typically caused by electrical component degradation over time or a loose connection in the internal wiring that prevents the computer from monitoring the safety of the flame. Because the boiler can no longer verify it is operating safely, it shuts down completely as a protective measure.
Engineer required
This is a high severity fault. Stop using the boiler and call a Gas Safe registered engineer. Do not attempt gas-related repairs yourself.
