Your boiler is simply going through its starting sequence and checking its systems before beginning to work.
This is a minor fault. Keep an eye on it and mention it at your next annual boiler service. Reset the boiler and see if it clears.
Technical description: Please wait, initialisation in progress.
What causes this fault?
This is not actually a fault, but the boiler’s internal computer performing a self-check and priming its components. It occurs when the power has been switched off and back on, or after a manual reset, to ensure all sensors and pumps are working correctly before ignition. Once the sequence is complete, your boiler will transition to its normal operating mode automatically.
This display is more common after a winter power cut or when homeowners restart their heating system for the first time in autumn.
DIY fix possible
Wait for approximately 5 minutes for the sequence to finishCheck that the condensate pipe is not frozen if it is winterEnsure the system pressure is between 1 and 1.5 bar
