What causes this fault?
This fault occurs when the boiler's control board is programmed with settings that do not match its physical internal components, specifically regarding how water flows through the unit. It typically happens after a major repair or a software update where the incorrect 'code plug' or configuration profile has been selected by a technician. Essentially, the boiler has become confused and has shut down as a safety precaution because it doesn't know how to operate its pumps or valves correctly.
