High Lockout
H.03 – .02 on Baxi 200 Combi (range)

Your boiler has lost its flame while it was running, which means it has stopped providing heating and hot water for safety reasons.

Call an engineer soon

Book a Gas Safe engineer within 24 to 48 hours. Your boiler may be unsafe or could break down completely if left.

Technical description

Flame error – no flame during operation.

What causes this fault?

This fault occurs when the boiler successfully lights but the internal sensors lose track of the flame while it is firing. It is often caused by a dirty or worn-out sensing probe that can no longer 'see' the fire, or a faulty gas valve that isn't providing a steady enough flow of fuel to maintain the combustion. Without a stable signal that the flame is safely lit, the boiler shuts down as a protective measure.

Engineer required

This is a high severity fault. Stop using the boiler and call a Gas Safe registered engineer. Do not attempt gas-related repairs yourself.
